ReRouted Flight is the first self-performing artwork by the artist. The original form of the piece is a wall installation consisting of a hand-cut drawing on mylar. The work is installed on a wall in a museum, alongside instructions for how to activate the piece. Once installed, visitors are encouraged to interact with the piece throughout the course of the exhibition, both through moving the piece with the magnets provided and drawing around it. This process is then repeated for the next installation and activation. As each person interacts with the piece, they leave traces of their presence behind. The pencil marks on the wall become the layers of the time and experience of the piece as it constantly evolves. Equally, the movement of the mylar has the piece in constant flux.
